This season thus far has revealed that any team can show up on any given Sunday. Will week 4 feature more upsets? The New York Jets
are looking for their second straight road win as they visit Buffalo. Which team will be waiting for them in upstate New York, the team that battled the Patriots or the team that rolled over against Green Bay? If Mark Sanchez manages his offense without any serious problems, Jets win.
Seattle squares off against St. Louis there is not much of a predictin to make here; these two teams are very evenly matched. Seattle is favored by 1 point; however Sam Bradford is shaping up to be the future of NFL quarterbacks! Tennessee Titans and Denver Broncos square off in a close matchup the home field advantage of the Titans may be the factor! The Broncos looked frustrated last week against Indianapolis which could have been a sign of internal struggle or Manning brilliance. Look for Chad Johnson to have a big game if the Titans are going to win! Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers an NFC rivalry, probably a Packer win as they rebound from a close loss to the Bears. If you have any doubts that the Detroit Lions are going to lose check out MISSION IMPOSSIBLE a post from the bleacher report. Packers win! This season is no different.
Falcons coming off a huge win defeating the defending superbowl champion NO Saints, face a struggling San Francisco 49'ers team. If the Falcons don't underestimate their opponent they are the favorites. The Browns have a serious chance to upset the visiting Bengals. Remember last week the Baltimore Ravens barely defeated the Browns. The Browns have the capability to win this given Sunday, but can they stop Cedric Benson?

GAME OF THE WEEK
This weeks featured game will be the matchup between the travelling Baltimore Ravens against the undefeated Pittsburgh Steelers at home. Both teams have thriving defensive units which will square off. If Charlie Batch continues to be the unexpected quarterback hero that he has shown early in the season, Baltimore will not have a chance. Look to see the Steelers improve to 4-0 in week 4.
New Orleans wants to rebound from their overtime loss to Atlanta, if Drew Brees puts up touchdowns early, this struggling Panther offense has to iron out some basic offensive flaws before are competitive. Indianapolis Colts at Jacksonville Jaguars; look for the Colts passing game to pick apart Jag D for an easy win. Houston Texans at Oakland Raiders, a game where the Texans are coming off of their first loss at the hands of Dallas, but still look solid, while the Raiders are improving. The Texans will take this game with ease.
Washington Redskins at Philidelphia Eagles huge matchup between the let go Donovan McNabb and his former team lead by Michael Vick. McNabb wants to plant a huge loss on the team that let him go. Watch as playing like an all pro QB Michael Vick of the Eagles, makes it clear why he's at Philly and not McNabb. Arizona Cardinals at San Diego Chargers Cardinals haven't shown too much this season, but the Chargers have to rebound from a piss poor defeat against Seattle. Despite that Philip Rivers will put up impressive numbers as the Chargers improve to 2-2.
Sunday night features the Chicago Bears at New York Giants, a very close matchup seeing the Bears coming off of a huge win last week and the Giants some-what struggling on defense. Despite a 4 point spread favoring the Giants I see the Bears winning! Rounding out the week four matchups the New England Patriots at Miami Dophins; a Monday Night Football battle for the NFC East, pits Tom Brady on the road against a very strong Miami team. Brady has a huge game and leads the Pats to a huge Monday Night Football win.
Bye week for: Cowboys, Chiefs, Vikings, Bucaneers

Watch out for those Detroit Lions!!

Reports have indicated that team doctors have cleared Detroit Lions' 2nd year star quarterback Matt Stafford to start throwing again in practice after suffering a major shoulder injury in the 1st half of Week 1's game versus the Chicago Bears.  The injury was the first insult to the team that day as they were cheated out of their 1st win of the season and 1st road win since October 28th, 2007. Despite the fact that wide receiver stud Calvin Johnson caught a pass in the endzone with less than a minute to play with both feet landing firmly on the ground before he was tackled to the ground, the referees ruled it an incomplete pass due to "process".  Calvin dropped the ball as he stood up to celebrate what woud have been the game-winning touchdown.
However, on the bright side, with the franchise quarterback on his way to recovery to join his offensive weapons (Calvin Johnson, Javid Best, Tony Scheffler, Brandon Pettigrew) coupled a stronger defensive line (specifically with the addition of 2nd overall draft pick Ndamukong Suh and Pro-Bowler Kyle Vanden Bosch) from last season, expect big things from the Detroit Lions this season going forward!

NFL Week THREE

This week in the NFL left a lot of people with their mouths open wondering what is to come. Winning streaks have come to an end, and the best teams are stepping forward. Be aware of who to bet onBest teams in the league that are undefeated include Pittsburgh, and the Steeler defense lead by Troy Palamalu, the Kansas City Chiefs, and tonights Monday night matchup teams, the Chicago Bears and the Green Bay Packers.

Will one of these teams be the undefeated team of the 2010 NFL season? Pittsburgh has the most talent with the soon return of Ben Roethlisburger, and the thriving Charlie Batch, this is a deep team with potential to win. Knocking out a 2-0 Bucs team, despite Batch’s first series interception leading to a Buc’s field goal, this Steeler team put up 4 touchdowns before half, and Batch the 13 year veteran shined. Look for next week’s showdown between Pittsburgh and Baltimore. Ray Lewis’s 2-1 Ravens Defense square up against the Steelers D lead by Polamalu.

The Kansas City Chiefs have continued to win! I assumed KC’s week one win against the Chargers was a fluke. But as is turns out the team that barely one a game in 2009 has rebounded in 2010 to be an exciting and winning team worth watching. Despite winning their first 2 games, KC had been struggling in the passing department, as quarterback Matt Cassel ranked 29th in the league. This week however, Cassel’s 3 touchdowns passes and a trick play for a huge play, resolved KC’s QB issues. Next week’s much needed bye week comes shortly before consecutive matchups between Indianapolis followed by Houston.

Last but not least let’s look at my San Diego Chargers, losing their second game of the season. What happened? Is Pete Carroll just a good coach with an outstanding group of players or did SD shoot themselves in the feet, ya that’s right both feet? Seattle special teams ran 2 second half kickoffs back for touchdowns. If you take away these 14points, SD only loses by 6 points nonetheless, props to Leon Washington for 2 returns, one 99yards the other 101yards. Bolts have to stop taking plays off or they won’t go on one of their infamous 9 game winning streaks this season. Remember Bet Smart using a professional sports betting system.

NFL Week 2 Review

Looking back on NFL week one ESPN made some crucial points to think about when placing your bets. First of all be weary if your sports betting system suggests you bet against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This defense is playing on all cylinders. Troy Palamalu is once again in a position of dominance. The Tennessee Titans were a strong team who performed, but the Steelers without Big Ben Roethlisberger, who served out a suspension this weekend. The second weary bet should be anything regarding Bret Favre's Minnesota Vikings. The trademark Favre passion is nowhere to be seen. A player known for his intense passion and energy has no passion. This Vikings team is struggling to produce, furthermore, without offensive line improvements Favre will not make it through the season. Don't put your money on the Vikings just yet, they have a lot to prove. Star running back Reggie Bush of the New Orleans Saints suffered a broken fibula bone. This is a crucial loss for the New Orleans Saints, however, they are still a very dominant team with or without him. Key Stats  GP 2 Att 7 Yds 2.6TDs 0 Fum 1. As you can see his numbers were not monumental, it is his leadership and special teams plays that create a void that NO Saints need to fill. The San Diego Chargers came back with avengance! The bolts rallied from their opening loss to the Chiefs to route the Jacksonville Jaguars, a game in which SD began to shine. Last but not least you can not count Michael Vick and the Eagles a fluke! Of the 32 NFL teams in week 2 only the Eagles and the Lions changed their original quarterbacks from week1. Both QB Michael Vick and QB Shaun Hill were on fire, but ultimately Michael Vick is returning to form and this is very dangerous for the rest of the NFL because he is explosive. Look for big numbers from him in the following weeks. Remember do your homework before you make your bets.

NFL week 2 matchups bring in a fresh new round of sports betting.  Get you handicaps, and picks of the week ready because it’s going to be a tough week. Looking at the point spreads, there are 3 games which pop out and really catch my attention for their large spreads.  The Green Bay Packers are favored by 13.5 against the Buffalo Bills, the Dallas Cowboys are favored by 9 over Chicago, and the San Diego Chargers are favored by 8 over the Jacksonville Jaguars. With such large spreads look for opportunities to capitalize.
There is a lot to talk about from week one, whose bets won, and whose bets lost, which teams choked, and which teams dominated, good calls and bad. First of all 12 2009 playoff teams lost in week 1. The Chiefs, and Redskins didn’t suck, and Pete Carroll won his first NFL game with Seattle. 11/16 of week ones matchups were decided by a td or less. Let’s hope week 2 is just as exciting!
Let’s talk about those large spread matchups. Who do you bet in your sports betting system when week 1 was soo unpredictable? Take a look at Green Bay coming off of a week 1 win where Aaron Rodgers looked impressive. The NFL could see Rodgers go for 400+ yards of passing this week against a poor Bills team. The keys for the Bills revolve around containing third down conversions, and containing the Rodgers clock management. Look to the Bills defense as a crucial key to this match. I can’t see the Bills winning.
The Next bet to place is a tough on. Betting on the Dallas Cowboys to cover the spread is a long shot. Dallas is coming off of a week 1 loss thanks to poor decisions made by Wade Phillips and a stupid off sides from Dallas’ o line. Alex Barron the player called for that penalty is the most penalized player in the NFL since 2005. Dallas made a lot of mistakes, if they can correct these errors. They could see themselves beating the Bears. Its not going to be easy the Bears are sitting on top of the NFC North standings, and with this momentum going into game 2 its hard to slow that role.
The last showdown for your betting systems includes my San Diego Chargers against the Jacksonville Jaguars. SD is coming off of a week 1 loss to Kansas City, a loss that is not to be taken too harshly. In other words, Philip Rivers did what he was supposed to and was on his game. It was the special teams of SD that really shot themselves in the foot. I would like to see SD come back and beat the Jaguars. Jacksonville is coming off a down to the wire first victory over a powerful Denver team. Look to see key players step up for SD, in reality if they are going to win, they have to utilize Ryan Mathews and contain Drew. The running game will make or break this game. If Mathews can open up the ground game, Rivers will pass for another 280+ yard game!
